Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between the different fill times?

Fill times reflect the weeks since you had your last nail fill completed. We encourage you to come every three weeks to keep your nails healthy and beautiful. Regular and timely nail maintenance will help prevent the lifting and breakage that can lead to fungus or infections.

What are the different types of nail enhancements you provide?

While there are several different types of nail enhancements available, we only use Hard gel at our salon. We work with various small family-owned companies, in which many are woman-owned!  Hard Gels nails are free from harmful chemicals that damage your natural nails. The light-curing process used makes the nails flexible and strong.

Hard Gel nails are easier to apply and to remove. They are non-porous, so they do not weaken the natural nail but rather protect them. Hard Gel nails are more durable than acrylic and won’t discolor over time, resulting in a more natural appearance.

Can you add glitter or custom art to the nail enhancement?

We love glitter and custom art on nail enhancements. Our nail technicians are artists at heart and are eager to turn your nails into stunning pieces of art or add a some glitter o make them pop. Tell us your dream and watch us turn it into reality.

What are the different shapes of nail enhancements?

There are 12 general finger nail shapes and we can create all of them or other shapes – just show us what you want. If you are not sure which shape works best with your nail length and overall aesthetic, we can give you recommendations based on our years of experience and extensive training.

The most popular nai shapes are:

Natural, Square, Squoval, Almond, Oval and Rounded

Do nail enhancements damage my nail?

Some nail enhancements, such as acrylics, can damage your nails over time. We only use Hard Gel, which is safer because they are free of harmful chemicals that damage nails. Hard Gel nails are also easier to apply and remove. Once cured, the hard gel nail is non-porous and will not weaken your natural nails, but rather protect them.

What is a "pink & white" or "french" set of nail enhancements?

“Pink & White” or “French Tip” enhancements use two colors on the nail, one for the nail bed and another for the tip. Traditionally, the colors for a French Tip have been pink and white to create a polished and professional look that replicates the natural nail, but modern variations use other colors. Ombre, a somewhat new variation, is growing in popularity and involves a gradual blending of two or more colors that seamlessly blend together.

How long do nail enhancements last?

Hard Gel is longer-lasting than most other nail enhancements. When properly applied by a trained technician, Hard gel nails can last three to four weeks.
